Comments
Comments: Snowshoes start to finish. Avalon Tr to jct with A-Z pretty solid, other trails well broken out but not fully consolidated, snowshoes strongly recommended, especially for the sake of keeping the trail in good shape (it also made the going easier). Snow depth 5+ ft on ridge. About a third of the people i saw today had snowshoes, which really helped smooth out the trail. The rest (mostly using spikes) were chewing up the trail, which was somewhat choppy in spots. No ice to speak of, even on that steep section going up to the summit of Avalon. Spectacular views from or near summits on all 4 peaks.

A-Z beyond Willey Range Tr junction was not broken out. WR Tr south from Willey summit looked to be broken out but not nearly as well-traveled as the portion north of the summit along the ridge.
