The Pole Cat was great. Solid and well groomed. Skiing looked terrific. The Wildcat Ridge trail is broken out but not consolidated so it was slow going. Lots of snow on branches and quite some depth of snow on the trail. Not to be a snowshoe snob but anyone venturing on to this trail without snowshoes is in for a long ugly day. Thankfully the postholers have not arrived yet. The Wildcat Ridge Trail from Wildcat A summit is not broken out from the summit to Carter Notch. Very few blazes visible with all the snow on the trees.
Views were fantastic all day long. |
