We broke trail through about 8-12 inches of fresh powder -- snowshoes all the way.
The only winter crux, the crossing of Clark Brook, is nicely snow-bridged, courtesy of below-zero temperatures for the past few days.
Welton Falls is a fine frozen cascade.
Lovely to have the entire place to ourselves with late afternoon light filtering in over Mt. Cardigan. |
