Comments
Comments: Polecat was the easy, fast route up to the ridge, then 1-2 feet of powder (depending on how much the drifting had packed it down) between the peaks. I was the only one on the trail today as far as I know. So it is not pretty or hard-packed, but it is broken out and back. The wind will probably cause some spots to drift back in, but the snow in those spots will be pretty dense so it shouldn't be too bad. I used my BIG snowshoes (carried both pairs).
