| Comments: |
Zealand Road was broken and decently packed, snowshoes made for better hiking than light traction. Hale Brook Trail was broken out well, perfect for snowshoes. However, as I made my way up I saw three skiers descending the trail and slicing up the broken trail making for some awkward footing which lead to sinking in with my snowshoes. On the way down I saw one hiker without snowshoes chopping up the trail, luckily it was more of an annoyance than an issue. Snowshoes are the way to go for now! |
