Comments
Comments: Got to the trailhead T about 1:30 and passed 4 or 5 people as they we're headed down. Trail was icy at the entrance and the lower sections. Hard part ked snow for the middle sections, and more loose snow as I got nearer the summit. I used snowshoes all the way up, mostly for the televators. Switched to microspikes for the descent. High winds had the snow drifting at the open ledgy sections below Surprise. Reached the summit at 4:00 and didn't need headlight until 5:00. Got 30 minutes or so in the dark for a peaceful return.
