| Comments: |
Spikes to the last crossing on Falling Waters then switched to snowshoes mostly for televators. Switched back to hillshounds on Little Haystack. Some drifting on ridge but snowshoes would have been difficult in the icey and rocky spots. Coming down from Lafayette there is a icy spot just below the summit that is tricky. Below that trail is well packed and we used spikes but snowshoes would have been ok also. The snow was well packed everywhere and no postholes. It was a terrific day above treeline with gorgeous light and a spectacular sunset. |
