 | Parking/Access Road Notes: |
The lot for Pierce across the street from the Highland Center is not open (I assume due to the government shut down?) so there was a lot of overflow parking on 302, which was where we needed to park. Nothing was available in the Highland Center lot. |

 | Comments: |
A beautiful day--calm wind. Wonderful conditions. We microspiked the whole way. Snowshoes would be totally appropriate on the WRT where the snow was very unconsolidated, but we managed in microspikes. Post-holing was inevitable--the slightest deviation from the center of the trail, and in the snow we went. If you are going to leave the trail for bathroom purposes, snowshoes become a must. |
