Comments
Comments: Route: We walked a very short distance on a snowmobile trail leaving near the driveway. At the bridge, we began to bushwhack up towards Russell. We favored the north a bit, to avoid some cliffs. From the recognized highpoint, we bushwhacked to the east peak, again favoring the north to avoid cliffs. From that recognized highpoint, we followed our tracks back to the pond and then dropped down to the campground. We followed roads to the snowmobile tr./road that cuts along the north side of Russell Pond Peak. We made a short bushwhack to the recognized highpoint and followed our tracks back to the snowmobile tr. We followed the trail which took us out to our parking.

Woods off Trail: All open except a few tighter spots on the way up Russell.
Snow: full coverage, snowshoes a must in places and best everywhere, mostly supportive base with a few inches to 1/2 foot of powder, some deeper/softer sections.
