About 2" of new granular with a crust from the New Years storm. In what I could see in the morning darkness, I made the decision to wear spikes. In hindsight, I would have worn snowshoes. The majority of the traffic yesterday was bareboots, leaving the trail uneven and my ankles sore. Some snowshoe traffic stands a chance to even things out.
Full snow cover at this point, including the wet areas. |
