Comments
Comments: Overall a great hike - beautiful day and easy going! Microspikes definitely necessary. Just some steep icy sections on Piper Trail which were a little sketchy - microspikes worked for us but i wouldn't have minded having some more traction. Spur to Camp Penacook shelter was also very icy. From junction w/ Champney Falls trail to summit, trail was easier, but still a few steep icy sections. Champney Falls Trail was a breeze - much less ice and packed. Falls loop was great too!
