||Parked in the Basin lot and started hiking by headlamp so that we could see the sunrise from Liberty.|
The bushwhack was pretty easy to spot, even by headlamp and having never taken it before. It saved a lot of distance and was easy to follow. Highly recommended.
The trail was well-packed monorail pretty much the whole way with some easy-to-avoid postholes in spots. Light traction was sufficient the entire day.
