Comments
Comments: This was a two day trip. Went up Nineteen Mile yesterday to Carter Notch Hut, left some weight at the hut and went up Wildcat Ridge trail to A and B (separate trail report). Back to the hut overnight, up today to summit Carter Dome via Carter-Moriah then hiked the loop out Carter Dome trail and Nineteen Mile. Carter-Moriah and especially Carter Dome trail were in pretty rough shape with a bunch of postholes right down the middle. We went over to Mt Hight, but after the summit we started sinking in and realized the trail wasn’t broken out and were too tired to put our snowshoes on, so we backtracked and took the more direct route to Zeta Pass. Nineteen Mile was icy in parts today with the overnight cold temps,
