 | Comments: |
About a half inch of granular from the most recent weather event has covered some of the ice bulges on Old Mountain Road, making spikes a bit more effective. Minimal snow depth along this stretch, but a foot deep up on the ridge with plenty of postholes. Since there is full (albeit minimal) snowcover throughout, if this incoming storm starts with snow and produces a few inches, snowshoes may be the best option tomorrow, especially with respect to those who will use the trails after you. |
