Comments
Comments: Very well traveled, well packed out trail from Little River rd. parking to N. Twin trail, to Fire Warden's trail and all the way up until just below the summit of Mt. Hale where only one skier had chosen to summit by the looks of the unpacked snow. The trail seemed amazingly well kept up with! Most of us opted for snowshoes right out of the parking lot, but Marcus dropped out of his just before the warden's trail due to a sore groin area. He made it up with micro spikes and a few post holes until we hit the softer, unpacked, snow just below the summit where he had to put the shoes back on, or risk being swallowed whole by the spruce traps! On the summit of Mt. Hale I walked over to Lend-A-Hand trail that didn't appear to be broken out. I also checked out the Hale Brook trailhead from the summit and that looked like it was well traveled. I didn't venture down onto either trails so my observation is from the summit only.
