Comments
Comments: Reports & photos from 11/15-11/17 looked pretty good. 2 groups made it up on the 17th. However, after a cold night the slabs climbing out of Central gully were smeared w/thin black verglas, indistinguishable from wet streaks.Being alone in the ravine, I backed down 50' of slab rather than risk a slip. Ice is forming again in Pinnacle & Odell's gullies. Henderson ridge(NOT a trail)to the (R) of north gully, gets sun, probably better traction. Great to be here anyway. R.I.P. Dave Shoemaker 2/14/79
