Comments: bushwhack and logging cuts

This mountain is on the New Hampshire 500 Highest List

From our parking area we strapped on snowshoes headed south towards Young Mountains west running ridge in nice woods and crossed logging area at moderate grade. At roughly 1500 feet or so things got steeper with much less snow we took off the snowshoes and bare-booted. We were still in nice woods with great views to the southwest of Guinea Hill and Mt Israel. Soon enough the woods got a little thick and scrappy and the summit high point cairn was recognized.

On our return trip we more or less followed our steps back but followed the west running ridge to look around and turned back to our car. Hike this with Mary, Rick and Lisa.

Next hiker up please bring a jar / register.

Nice little hike with just over 2 miles and just under a 1000 feet of elevation gain.
