Comments
Comments: I didn't use traction up to the falls but many people I saw were using traction. Above the falls was a breakable crust - I wore snowshoes and they were needed - I didn't sink in much except on the steeps. If you pick your way carefully, getting to the ridge is easy :) A fine day but no distant views. Nice to be in the woods on snowshoes and not have to worry about falling in postholes - this was a clean slate!!!! :)
