We had 11 in our group, there was an AMC group of about 10 lead by Tim, and a group lead by Bob and Geri, plus others I didn't know, so you can see how well packed these trails are. I had a first time winter hiker with me, and being his snowshoes were not that agressive, he was returned to put crampons on early. I was in snowshoes as well as many in our group, but GREAT care was requied on the Chimney. We had a young woman slip a put on the climb, but no hurt at all. Great fun sliding the the slide, as long as you kept control of your speed with your poles. |
