Got a late start, so we parked in lot 4 around 1 pm, but nothing is too far of a walk from the trailhead. |

Snow - Packed Powder/Loose Granular, Ice - Breakable Crust, Snow/Ice - Frozen Granular, Snow/Ice - Monorail (Stable) |

Some of the ice was breaking on the rock hops, but all doable without poles. |

Found a black/grey glove at the trailhead when we were finishing; its on the trail sign at the trailhead. |

What a lovely post-Christmas day out! The trail was in pretty good shape - you only need some spikes, though this could change with some precipitation tomorrow. The trees also provided a fair amount of covering from the wind, so I only needed to pack on layers at the top. |
