Comments
Comments: trail up to lonesome lake was hard packed. microspikes only. fishin jimmy became uneven with a good amount of frozen postholes, avoidable. this trail also hard packed with a dusting of fresh powder over. past kinsman pond patches of slick ice flow made for a few tricky spots but mostly avoidable and still only minrospikes were required. on krt, the powder coating was more like an inch or two over hard packed trail. less traffic from kp shelter to krt junction. met some nice folks along the ridge and on summits, but enjoyed solitude the whole way up. all in all a great start to winter and my 19 & 20 of the winter-48.
