 | Parking/Access Road Notes: |
Hidden Valley scout camp was deserted the day before Xmas so it didn't appear to matter where you park. But I understand there are official places for hikers to park. It took us a while to figure out exactly where the Red/Yellow trailhead was, but it is behind the dining hall past the showers. |

 | Water Crossing Notes: |
Crossing of the brook on the Red Trail, (just before its junction with Blue trail) was difficult due to recent rain and snow melt. Also complicated by icy rocks that could have potentially been stepping stones. We did find a suitable crossing upstream at a narrow choke point of the brook that put us on the Blue Trail. As it turns out if we had bushwhacked up further we could have crossed the brook on the wooden bridge, but we didn't discover that option till later on when we were descending the Blue Trail. |

 | Trail Maintenance Notes: |
Several large blowdowns on the Blue Trail and A-OSR Link. Duck under, climb over, or walk around. |

Red Trail (Anna-Goat Pasture Hill Trail South), Anna-Goat Pasture Hill Trail, Anna-Old Stage Road Link, Blue Trail, Yellow Trail
In the trail list I used the names from the BRATTS redlining spreadsheet, but it appears that other names might appear on other maps. The trails did not require traction because they were mostly bare or covered with crunchy snow. There were also ice patches that could be avoided with care. Leaves on the slopes were also slippery. We returned to the car as it was getting pretty dark and a light snow was falling so spotting and avoiding the icy patches became more of a challenge. A good day of redlining in the Belknaps. |
