 | Parking/Access Road Notes: |
Gate was locked. Parked outside with 3-4 other cars at 10-10:30. The road was mostly a sheet of ice. |
 | Surface Conditions: |
Wet Trail, Ice - Blue, Ice - Breakable Crust, Standing/Running Water on Trail, Snow/Ice - Frozen Granular, Snow/Ice - Small Patches |
 | Recommended Equipment: |
Light Traction |
 | Water Crossing Notes: |
No actual water crossings, just big temporary puddles you had to cross. |
 | Trail Maintenance Notes: |
One blowdown on Bryce Path that, thanks to the people who trimmed it, is easily stepped under. Lots of yellow blaze on trees but it was still occasionally questionable which direction the trail went. Lots of the rain water has turned to ice but there’s also still large puddles of water that you have to walk through or around. They’ll take a while to drain. |
 | Dog-Related Notes: |
Saw some down lower along the lake and auto road but none on the Bryce Path to the top. I imagine it would be difficult for them with all the icy rock. |
 | Bugs: |
None |
 | Lost and Found: |
One hat along Bryce Path shortly after the junction with Echo Lake Trail. Left it on the gate at the parking area. |

 | Comments: |
Beautiful day. With all the warm weather we’ve been having I’d almost forgotten how cold winter could be in the mountain lol! At least microspikes are needed now and Hillsounds would probably be preferable. |
