Pretty well packed trail, but some postholing was evident. We all used spikes and made it up and down without the weight of the snowshoes. Camp last night was windy, but okay. The small jaunt from the cannon tower to the ski lodge was well worth it for a beer & a sandwich. Tons of tourists there all giving us strange looks. Back on the trail, the tower was extremely windy with clouds quickly blowing in and out. Great views and bluebird skies in the afternoon. Nice day to be out. #47 for jay |
