 | Parking/Access Road Notes: |
I drove past the big sign and had to turn around... thus I really have no idea how I missed the parking area. I just parked off to the side of the wide entrance to whatever facility that’s there. They left me a note on my car saying my car had been “documentedâ€. My bad guys, sorry I got lazy. |

A couple step pets and now duck unders but nothing real bad. Some limbs across the trail that I tossed in the woods. The sign for the spur path to the observation deck seems to be missing |

The weather wasn’t as bad as I thought it’d be. It wasn’t even really raining when I started walking. It got a bit worse as the day progressed though. All trails were easy to follow less the missing sign. Probably no more than 3-4 inches of snow as of 4pm today and some spots were bare. I eventually put on microspikes to help with the ice although I could’ve gotten away without them. I’d recommend you at least bring a pair though.
Barebooted on the Mud Pond Trail although microspikes would’ve been helpful. Easy to do even in the dark. Snow is meltingly away on the boardwalk.
