I started around 12:30PM.....think I was the last person to be heading to the summit on Saturday. Passed several very large groups on my way up. Microspikes gave me great traction over the few icy spots along the way. I don't remember seeing anyone wearing snowshoes. Summit was socked in with fairly heavy cloud cover, but the cairns did a beautiful job of marking the trail for me. On my drive home on the Moosilauke Highway, saw 6 deer cross the road in front of me! Glad I was going slow..... |
