Comments
Comments: Groomed trail on Livermore and then lovely well-packed snowshoe track all the way to the Scaur (and continuing on, although I turned around there). Snowshoes a must on Livermore to preserve the surface for skiers. I opted to leave the snowshoes on for the whole trip; Kettles is pretty well-shaded and the track felt sold, but it's in such good shape that I didn't want to risk it on this warmish day. All in all, a very pleasant outing. I was a little surprised that not one skier called a warning when coming up behind on shared-use Livermore? I do try hard to stay alert in all directions and keep myself and dogs off to the side, but a heads-up when catching a slower-moving trail user is often helpful in setting everyone up for a smooth pass. :)
