Plenty of parking this time of year before the winter season gets into fill swing. |

| Water Crossing Notes: |
Two major crossings, both are easy rock hops but not yet snow bridged. Especially easy with microspikes. |

One spruce blowdown below the junction with Shining Rock spur, but above the last brook crossing. |

Great trail for dogs! |

| Comments: |
Great packed trail, can be easily hiked the whole way in microspikes. However, snowshoes could be helpful in the several steep portions for extra traction and televators. We also wore crampons most of the way down to lessen the slipping and sliding. |
