| Parking/Access Road Notes: |
Parking area roughly plowed but not a whole lot of room. Probably only enough room for 3-4 cars if you park carefully and considerately. There was a letter from the police chief saying you could not park on the side of the road. Given that while we were the only car when we got there at 11 but there were 2 others when we left at 2:15, this could pose a problem. I believe there’s alternate trailhead. |

| Surface Conditions: |
Dry Trail, Snow - Trace/Minimal Depth, Ice - Blue, Snow - Packed Powder/Loose Granular, Snow/Ice - Frozen Granular |
|
| Recommended Equipment: |
Light Traction |
|
| Water Crossing Notes: |
None of any consequence. |
|
| Trail Maintenance Notes: |
One or two very easy step overs. Other than that, there were just lots of broken limbs. Yellow trail blaze sometimes faded and seemed somewhat scarce. Trail was still relatively easy to follow though given the foot traffic. |
|
| Dog-Related Notes: |
I imagine they’d be fine. |
|
| Bugs: |
I think we saw some snow fleas and one or two flying things. |
|
| Lost and Found: |
None |

| Comments: |
If you plan on doing this trail now, you’ll need microspikes. Hill pubs crampons wouldn’t be overkill either. Snowshoes aren’t necessary now as things are packed down pretty well. Besides there’s areas of dry trail that would be a pain with snowshoes. |
