Comments: John Wolter Tr., Joan Wolter Tr. (yellow), Spencer Eastmand Traverse (green)

Straight forward hike to an interesting peak. While many folks bushwhack to the peak (might be shorter), Steve, Skipper and I opted for the trailed approach from the north. The Upper Valley Stewardship Center has a trail map online. We took the John Wolter Trail (a road) all the way to the summit, where there is a summit shack and bench to sit on. The actual summit is a few yards into the woods. For the descent we opted to create a loop, but hiking down the woods road marked as the Joan Wolter Trail / yellow on the map. Easy to follow but not maintained as a primary hiking trail. Then took the Spencer Eastman Traverse / green, back to the John Wolter Trail / road. Again.. easy to follow. The UVSC does have some trail signs, but they are a bit confusing without the map in your hand.

Fun family hike today with Steve and "Skipper" Zimmer.
