Conditions were exactly what Skidder saw on Pierce except we did not have significant drifts. Winter is here in the Whites...CARRY goggles and a balaclava. We would not, could not, have summited the cone without them. Wind was 30+ and wind chill was well in to the minus. Goggles and balaclava are not listed as recommended equipment but common sense dictates that you carry them! |
