Comments
Comments: A great day on LW and Osseo Trails. My first time taking this approach for Mt. Flume and really enjoyed it. The mellow LW and start of Osseo Trails were a nice warm-up for the remainder of the day. We only saw one other group of 3 hikers, who were coming down Osseo about 1/2 mile from the summit while we were heading up. Having previously checked NETC, we knew some folks had come down via Osseo the day prior. Bare booted LW and put on microspikes about 1/4 mile into Osseo on way up - kept on remainder of day. Very stable monorail as of Sunday, no postholing for either of us, about an inch of loose powder closer to top and then bigger drifting right before summit once above treeline. We finished right around 4pm, which I'll add that "Winter" sunsets are glorious.
