 | Comments: |
A nice mixed bag of a hike. 3 Ponds Trail was well packed and in decent shape. Fist 2 miles (approx.)of Carr Mountain Trail was also well packed with a somewhat sketchy crossing of Sucker Brook and many small hop-over stream crossings all the way up. Broke trail for final mile to the summit. Lots of crust with unstable knee-deep snow beneath resulting in surprise snowshoe postholing and a very slow pace. A socked in summit was well earned! |
