Comments
Comments: We were first on trail on a very cold day. -8 at the trailhead when we began at 6:45am. The girls and I started in snowshoes since there was an inch of fresh powder down below and we figured there would be drifts up top (we were right). One-to-foot drifts between the cabin and the summit. A few frozen knee-deep postholes up there.

We saw about 20-25 others on our way down, half in snowshoes and half barebootong. By later in the day, all the trails were likely just fine for barebooting - we are glad we wore snowshoes though since we were first on the trail and that section between the cabin and the summit would have been no fun breaking out/through drifts without the snowshoes.

It was nice to hike with Elle and Nick, two cool kids who are almost finished their 48.

Alex will have a trip report on her blog sometime this week.
