perhaps two blowdowns requiring easy walk around or walkover |
|
 | Dog-Related Notes: |
Djinda, (55 lb. golden, hesitant at several crossings) and got feet wet; required reapplying Musher's grease and frequent removal of sticky snow. Not recommended. She survived it well, but I would not put her thru cold feet brook crossings again |

 | Comments: |
few postholes. Sorry we created some. Firm pack from snowshoers of last storm which iced over. Then covered by 1" (bottom) to 4" (height/ridge) of fluffy powder. Sticking to center of packed portion made easy hiking. toughest portion was 3/4 up, slabbing across slope (rather than up or down). debated if snowshoes would have provided any better traction than our microspikes |
