Wanted to get above tree line today. Left a car in Crawford notch Incase we felt adventurous and were thinking of a peakless traverse. Broke out the last 1/2 mile of valley way to the hut. Ended up just roaming around star lake and Quincy Adams for some great views. Above tree line is tough going right now. Nothing is packed out so if you are venturing above tree line without snowshoes right now you are taking a big risk. Massive drifts and spruce traps. Make good choices. Saw about a dozen or so people on my way out.
Some nice photos on mountain hub. |
