Incredible day. Gorge Brook up was beautifully packed essentially the whole way - Carriage Road was a bit more choppy (some skiers coming up in bare boots looked like they were struggling) and Snapper was not in great shape. Please please wear snowshoes - we saw at least two people out with only spikes on and it was really leaving a dent in others' hard work. Other than that, an unbelievable day in the Whites - stupidly clear skies, an amazing undercast, unseasonably warm temps at the summit, and barely any wind! A real banner day out. |
