Didn’t make it to the top - some nice folks we met said we were about30 min out. So we saw most of the trail. Speaking with everyone out there (weren’t too many), 5 of 9 made it to the top so doable and broken all the way
4 guys broke it out this morning (big thank you). Powder everywhere. Snowshoes are the option. Many feet in the higher elevations. I’ve never skied in snowshoes until today. Very nice conditions all around. Kicking myself for not getting up an hour earlier. Bad planning for the first winter hike of the year.
Only caution is a couple of wrong turns are broken out as route searching seemed to happen. Lots of snow in the trees so keep on an outer layer as snow fell on me all day - got pretty wet and dipped into the back up gear |
