Comments
Comments: The trail started out nicely packed but we passed several others near the HoL and eventually caught up to the trail breakers shortly after the whack. We joined forces and 6 of us broke out the last 2.5 mi to the summit. The shortcut through the tent site was too thick with snow covered trees so we stayed on the trail to Davis Path. Average 12 in of snow to break with many deeper spots and lots of unfrozen holes. Congratulations to the 2 girls that finished their 48 today. They had to work for it. There were 14 people on the trail today but only 8 reached the summit. Two barebooters made it a short distance past the upper crossing before retreating. They will sleep good tonight.
