Comments
Comments: Towns: From where we parked (just a tiny bit past where the road crosses the brook at about 1500'), we walked north a small bit along the road. On the NHF&G topo maps, we noted a snomo trail that came up the N / NW side of Towns Mtn, but this road was signed no trespassing. So we went into the woods a bit south of its entrance, and after a short bushwhack, connected with this snomo trail above where a private house was built. We followed the snomo road to a HOL north of the ridge, and then bushwhacked south along the ridge to the recognized highpoint.

Misery: As we began the descent of Towns NE'ly towards Misery, we picked up a faint logging road of sorts that took us easily down into the col. The woods were not bad, and it was a fairly easy and straightforward snowshoe to the summit / highpoint of Mt. Misery.

We hiked NW'ly off the summit, connecting back with a logging road, that connected back to Mt. Misery Road and our car.

Very pleasant snowshoe today with scores of animal tracks (moose, deer, coyote, rabbit, turkey and more). The NHF&G topo was a handy resource today as it showed the major snomo trails in the area.

Fun day with JEM 3 and Mike W.
