| Trail Maintenance Notes: |
Sugarloaf Tr is packed down with snow falling from trees making it somewhat mashed potatoes in early afternoon. I wore snowshoes from summer lot to help pack trail down. Trestle Tr not broken out, plan was a loop hike then Sugarloaf. River crossing not advisable so I retreated. Good news Trestle is now packed down. |

Absolute beautiful day. Clear cold to start, cool & clear on both peaks. Incredible views of the Presidential Range! Had both peaks to myself, sunny no wind. Trails in good condition monorail is starting to take shape. Saw several others in snowshoes helping to pack it down. Can be bare booted but shoes are easier. Zealand Rd is well packed...bare boot to summer lot. Great day in the Whites!!! |
