Comments
Comments: The rail trail, short connector and Byrne Trail were all packed down solid by snowmobiles. There were also a few patches of bare ground. Snow depths are minimal, just a few inches. No traction necessary, I barefooted round trip. I walked to the northern end of Byrne Trail, then backtracked to the spur trail, which was choppy from boot traffic. At a low wetland area, a new ADA-accessible boardwalk is under construction to make this currently winter-only trail available all year long.

Nice to meet Jay and Steve (volunteer with Southeast Land Trust, owners of the property) out there, to get some information on the area and to talk hiking for a good half hour. :)
