Comments
Comments: Very well packed down on 19 Mile Brook so used spikes until the Carter Dome Tr junction. Snowshoes the rest of the way up and over down to the hut. Thank you to whoever broke out Carter Dome! It was beautiful for the first mile or so with ~4in on top of the packed down trail. The second mile was a good 1-2ft but thankful that we could still see the direction of the trail. Up to Mt Hight we broke out the trail (big shout-out to lightofthesunandmoon for helping) which at some points had drifts that were 3+ ft deep. We broke from there pretty much all the way to Carter Dome and then the hut. Exhausting work! In a lot of spots there's just snowshoe holes, not a solid trail (kind of hard to avoid when the snow was up to my waist), but on my way down I saw several people planning to get up there so that should help. Definitely a long but rewarding day!
