col trail (113) ridge trail
bitter cold morning with at times a brisk wind.. some one had been up yesterday so there were tracks. variable snow amounts with generally 8 -10 inches, less in the pine groves, significant drifting around the summits. not quite time for snow shoes at this elevation but next storm. views were very good and there was evidence of snowshowers to the north. never saw anyone tho there was a car in the main lot. great day out..somewhat exposed to cold wind in places but a glorious day. Happy Thanksgiving to all! |
