Parking/Access Road Notes
Parking/Access Road Notes: The side of the Kanc opposite Pine Bend was not plowed out as it usually is. We managed to just barely get off the road there although it was close enough that we considered parking at Sabbaday and road walking.

Water Crossing Notes

Comments
Comments: 4 to 6 inches of fresh powder for the first couple miles and then 6 to 8 at higher elevations. Enough to be exhausting work and we were ecstatic when we reached the scaur ridge junction and found it freshly broken out the rest of the way. We saw 3 other hikers (one with snow shoes on her back which was a curious choice) all having come up from scaur. With fresh snow and wind knocking snow from the trees however the path filled back in soon after our passing to the point we were breaking again all the way down. Beautiful day though, a November winter wonderland. We earned our turkey.

With the wind and fresh snow make sure to bring snowshoes for this one. Trail is easy to follow but not fully packed and there will be more loose snow blown and fallen by tomorrow.
