| Comments: |
Today appeared to be the first day anyone had been up here since Wednesday's storm. I broke out the Avalon Trail above the A-Z junction, up to Field, then over to Willey. Generally about 8" of new powder, though closer to 1.5 feet on the sides of Field (with deeper drifts). Two incorrect, short sections that I correct on the way back, but either way on those is just as fast. One person headed across from Field to the A-Z Trail during the day, so that section is not too well packed. Mt. Tom Spur and A-Z Trail back to Avalon are all well packed. No sign of recent traffic to Willey from Ethan Pond Trail, or up A-Z Trail from Zealand. Mt. Willard Trail appeared to be well packed. Snow coming down at a decent clip around sunset. |
