 | Comments: |
This trip was to mainly walk Otis Hill Trail within the Piscassic Greenway, but since it passes so close to the wee summit of Otis Hill, why not. Both the unmaintained section of Halls Mill Road and the hiking trail have minimal snow, maybe three inches max. No snowshoes or traction necessary. Some standing water on OHT. Near the height of land on that trail, a short, wide open bushwhack of about 160 ft. brings you to the wooded, unrecognized summit of Otis Hill. Someone had been there recently, judging by the boot prints. I continued along OHT to the junction with Byrne Trail and then followed the same route out. |
