| Comments: |
On yesterday’s hike of snow-covered Moosilauke Monica and I were joined by friends from the Random Group as well as some random friends that had the same idea that we did. The forecast was for sunny skies, cold temperatures, and lots of wind but instead we got sunny skies, mild temperatures, and the winds forgot to show up. The result - a perfect day both below and above treeline.
We used the Glencliff Trail to approach from the west - I thought we would see more people along our route but the Ravine Lodge Road is getting plowed (not sure for how long) so most people seem to be opting for that route. The trail was in good condition and previous feet had packed it down nicely. Some in our group wore snowshoes while others, including myself, wore only spikes.
