Barebooted to about 2600’ (just after the start of the steeps). Put on snowshoes after that, and it made a world of difference. Snow got lighter and more unconsolidated the higher you got.
Kept snowshoes on up to summit, then back down to about 2800’. A steady stream of people coming up in boots/spikes pretty much killed the track we made. |
