Comments
Comments: Trail is in great shape. No blowdowns to speak of. Rocks at the very beginning were not quite fully covered, but after the junction with Snapper the snow starts to fill in quickly. Spikes from the car until just beyond East peak, then snowshoes for the last push.

Saw one other hiker descending in snowshoes as I was ascending the switchbacks. She warned me that the well trodden path stopped abruptly. She broke trail from there to the summit and I thank her greatly for making it easier for me. Put my shoes on at the same place and made it to the summit. Overcast, but very clear views. One of the better days up there despite the cold and wind. Drifts above treeline made for some deep pockets of snow. I would not have made it to the summit without snowshoes. Wore them down back to the last sure water sign to help smooth out the trail. Great day!
